Syzygium cumini, known as jambul, jambolan, jamblang or jamun, is an evergreen tropical tree in the blooming plant family Myrtaceae. Syzygium cumini is local to the Indian Subcontinent and connecting districts of Southeast Asia. The species goes crosswise over India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Indonesia. The name of the organic product is once in a while mistranslated as blackberry, which is an alternate natural product in an irrelevant family. Syzygium cumini has been spread abroad from India by Indian exiled people and at present is regular in previous tropical British settlements.
